The Perfect Holiday at Coorg

Ever since I have returned from my holiday at Coorg, lush green coffee plantations wrapped in mist is the first thought when I think about that beautiful place. It is a complete holiday destination.It is the Scotland of India. The view of coffee plantations spread over acres is a joyous sight. Drinking a hot cup of coffee makes it all the more pleasurable.

An evergreen rain-forest, bubbling streams, cardamom, pepper and coffee plantations make Coorg worth a visit. Totally private, sprawled over a wooded mountain-face with amazing views is a guarantee with Vivanta by Taj - Madikeri, Coorg and I loved staying there.

Situated on an idyllic hillside, 5000 feet above sea level, just 7 kilometers from Madikeri town. I enjoyed the panoramic views from my room. The property is huge and beautiful. They have a lot of activities that are interesting and unique in itself. It is one of the best luxury resorts in Coorg.

The Jappletini – gin shaken with fresh lime juice and homemade strawberry puree is my personal favourite. One must try Coorg Coffee Martini that takes vodka shaken with Coorg coffee and Kalhua.

FERN TREE offers all-day dining, multi-cuisine restaurant and has a chic, uncarpeted indoor space and vibrant art décor to elevate the senses. Wine Poached Pears Salad with Organic Greens and Pine Nuts.House Special Roast Chicken, or the Lamb Shanks cooked in a Moroccan style, served in a tagine pot at Fern Tree is quite famous and a must try.
NELLAKI offers a lip-smacking menu.

DEW offers Wellness cuisine.Power juices, shakes, and the freshest salad. The great soup broths, whole-wheat pastas and delicious pizzas made without cheese are real yum. It is One of the best healthy restaurants in Coorg.

POOLSIDE GRILL – Here one can sit by the pool side and indulge in tasty delights.
